CUP OF UJI ( PORRIDGE) INITIATIVE IN TANZANIA
Cup of Uji Tanzania is an initiative that provides a free cup of porridge in schools with children from poor backgrounds. Most of the children stay in school because this is the only meal they will get.
Your USD 10 can help feed a needy child who goes to school hungry for a month. Be a part of the change by helping keep these children in school.

1 - EDUCATION
Volunteer English/mathematics teachers are needed at this placement to provide English /mathematics lessons to children in Moshi. Learning how to speak English /mathematics is a very important skill set for a child in order to obtain many of the more desirable and better paying jobs in future.
We run an international teacher assistant volunteer program that helps the teachers and children of the rural and Urban schools of Moshi Municipal and surrounding schools.
There is a great need for help at the schools for teacher’s assistants during the week and at YAAPHA for weekend programs (optional). The helpers do not necessarily have to be teachers or teacher students, but it will be to a great advantage if they are.
2 - HEALTH & HYGIENE
A health and hygiene assistance volunteer at this placement is required to help out with raising awareness
about the causes, effects and prevention of HIV/AIDS and the transmission and treatment of HIV/AIDS.

affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic through "home based care" and conducting public youth group educational sessions.
