Youth in Action Against Poverty and HIV/AIDS (YAAPHA) is a non-profit organization working in mainland Tanzania with youth and women, vulnerable children and general community members .
Our primary focus is to reduce poverty, implement education programs and promote practices of sustainable development,end homelessness, Entrepreneurship programs among young people, Life skills training for school children. The mission of the organization is committed to reduce illiteracy and poverty by addressing the needs of children, women ,youth and homeless people, providing primary education, environmental and Human rights education, HIV/AIDS awareness, life skills and entrepreneurship empowerment in Tanzania.
YAAPHA provides HIV/AIDS prevention , education, counselling, care and support in Tanzania. We are established as a response to the problem of HIV/AIDS, drug abuse and educational challenges among children and adults.
YAAPHA started in 2010 by Peter Bundala in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, YAAPHA registered on July 11, 2011, as a Non-governmental Organization (NGO) under the Society Act (Cap 337 of 2002) [Registration # 00NGO/R/2335]. YAAPHA operates in the Kilimanjaro, Dodoma, Tabora, Arusha , Kigoma regions AND Kawangware in Kenya
Our main objectives aim to:
A society implementing social and economic change for sustainable development.
